Before & Aftercare
To ensure you achieve the best possible tan and keep your glow for as long as possible, you must prep your skin prior to your appointment and follow the aftercare steps.

If followed correctly your tan should last 7-10 days or 5-7 days if you opt for the express tan options.
Before
Exfoliate your skin up to 24 hours before your appointment (ideally starting 5 days prior) paying attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles - ensuring any old tan is removed.

Shave at least 24 hours before or wait until after your tan.

Moisturise the days leading up to your appointment, however not on the day of (you can moisturise your face on the day).

If you have been swimming the day of your appointment ensure you shower after to remove any chlorine from your skin.

If you use a sauna or steam room the day of your appointment ensure at least 5 hours have past before your appointment.

The Appointment
Please do not wear moisturiser, deodorant, perfume or make up to your appointment. If you do have any of these on your skin please let me know so they can be removed as these will affect your tan result.

Wear loose dark clothing to your appointment. Ideally wear flip flops (any type of loose fitting she which won't rub your tan)

I can provide disposable knickers and disposable bras if you feel more comfortable. Feel free to wear what you want, your choice doesn't affect me. My studio is private so you can feel as comfortable as possible in whatever you choose to wear or not wear.
Aftercare
Follow my advice on when you should wash off your tan, your first rinse should be water only.

Pat dry after showering (no rubbing).

Moisturising daily!!! This is your best friend.

Shave at least 24 hours after washing off your tan.

After around day 4 you can start to gently exfoliate using exfoliating gloves. You can use these daily to ensure your tan fades evenly.

Holiday Tan
Having a spray tan before holiday can be a great way to feel more confident getting in that swimsuit. Especially for us individuals who struggle to tan (I'm one of them!).

You can still tan under a spray tan, a spray tan can actually help as quite often you won't try to rush the tanning process which can lead to burning. As your spray tan fades, your natural tan can replace it.

Maintaining your tan on your holiday...

Try to book your tan as close to your holiday as possible, this will ensure it lasts, the day before you travel is ideal.

Most Importantly - Tan does not replace SPF! You should always use SPF to protect the skin from burning/aging. Burnt skin will peel and essentially make your tan noticeable as your fresh skin will be your natural skin colour.

SPF usually contains oils, oil can break down tan faster therefore your tan may not last as long. There are SPF's which are free from oils which is better for your spray tan.

Tip: If your someone who struggles to tan naturally, personally for a week + holiday I take a bottle of gradual tan. After a few days I start to apply this at night - I choose a gradual moisturiser which will keep my skin hydrated.
